Steve (my husband) was Frank, and the script called for us to kiss. Even though I was quite a bit older than you, I was still petrified! I hoped to kiss him someday...but not a stage kiss for our first one! Thankfully he kissed me on the cheek and the director didn't say to do otherwise, so that's what we did.
